After an adventure of 7 years in Asia, I decided 5 years ago to start building websites. Why? Because it gives me the opportunity to work with many different and interesting people on their dreams, while giving me the freedom to do so from anywhere I want. On top of that, I find the technology fascinating — especially now, with the rise of AI, it has become an exciting playing field.
In addition to being a self-taught WordPress guru, I’m also trained as a business administrator and marketer. This means that when I create a website, I naturally also look at things like strategy, mission/vision, and marketing. How quickly does WP Twan build a website?
I design, build, and deliver websites within just a few weeks. With a Starter package, that’s about 2 weeks; with a Pro package, 4 to 5 weeks; and with a Growth package, 6 to 8 weeks.
A lot depends on how and when I receive the content (texts, graphics, photos, branding). For this, I have created a checklist which helps clients prepare for our collaboration. In addition, it also depends on how quickly the client is satisfied with my designs (9 out of 10 times, my clients are immediately happy with the first draft).
How much does a WP Twan website cost?
A WP Twan website starts at just EUR 750 (Starter Package). This is a landing page that is already sufficient for many small businesses and freelancers.
If you need a bit more content and multiple pages, I recommend the Pro package at EUR 1,500. With this, you get up to 5 web pages designed and built by me, a blog integration, newsletter connection, and custom-made Call To Actions.
Is your business putting more focus on online, and is your digital presence a strong pillar of your overall marketing? Then the Growth Package might be the right fit for you. For EUR 3,000, you’ll get up to 10 web pages designed, Custom Post Types for things like case studies or projects, and 2 strategy meetings where we’ll take a close look at how your website can help grow your business.
If your business wants to take online marketing seriously and needs a website with much more content, possibly with e-commerce integration and enhanced security, then I’ve developed a special Premium Website Package for you. This package is EUR 8,000 and includes a Pro SEO package.
Can I also have my website hosted by WP Twan?
Absolutely. I’ve been hosting websites for my clients for 5 years, and recently I (finally) invested in a super-fast Managed VPS. This means my web hosting is now on par with the very best and fastest web hosts in the Netherlands. Beyond just technical server maintenance, I also directly support my clients whenever hosting issues arise. Do you use AI for building websites or writing texts?
No. I don’t use AI for designing or building websites. However, I do use AI as technical support for maintenance, optimizations, and web hosting tasks.
Why don’t I use AI for texts and designs? Because in my view, the human touch visibly disappears when you rely on AI for writing or design. I do expect AI to get even better than it already is, but I’m convinced it will never replace humans in the creative field. A human makes (human) mistakes, has doubts, feels passion for things. This results in work that AI cannot match. Many people say they don’t care about that, but in those moments, they’ve forgotten what truly moves them and drives them to take action. I follow the AI revolution closely and will adjust my opinion on AI if I ever feel it’s necessary.
Why WordPress?
WordPress is still the most widely used CMS in the world for websites — and that won’t change anytime soon. For very simple landing pages and websites, AI will start to play a role in the coming years. However, these websites will generally look less unique and less human than a site designed by people. For more complex purposes, and for businesses where branding and authenticity matter, hiring a web developer remains just as important as ever.
The WordPress community consists of thousands of active developers who invest heavily in new tools and plugins that can be used in many different ways on a website. This same community also makes it possible to solve WordPress website issues relatively quickly, because there is such an enormous amount of knowledge and experience within the WordPress ecosystem.

I love designing a website, as well as technically building and managing it. There’s something magical about a digital product that’s accessible worldwide and enables an organization to present itself online. I have a background in business development, graphic analytics, and marketing — and building websites brings all these elements together.
Why the name WP Twan?
The short version:
WP stands for WordPress, and Twan is my name: Twan Roubroeks. It’s a short, catchy, and easy-to-remember name (once you know that my name is Twan and I build WordPress websites).
