But some things you might prefer to do yourself. The items I list below don\u2019t necessarily need to be done in this order.     During our intake call<\/strong> I'll tell you what I need from you in order to make an offer for you. Most importantly is probably for me to estimate how much content<\/strong> will need to go into the website. Based on the content, I can determine whether it will fit on a landing page or if it\u2019s necessary to build a more complete website with multiple pages, including internal links that connect the pages properly. A quote is nothing more than an email with my offer<\/strong> for the scope<\/strong> of the website, and the price<\/strong>. I'll always include a link to my terms & conditions<\/strong><\/a>. I recommend reading through these terms before we start working together. After that, I\u2019ll need your agreement to the quote, including these terms.     2. Buying a<\/b> domain name<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    A domain name is one of the first things you\u2019ll need for a new website. Of course, I can also build a website on a temporary domain, but it saves a website migration<\/u><\/strong><\/a> if we work directly on the right domain. I recommend buying your .nl domain name from Mijn.host<\/a><\/strong>, Hostnet.nl<\/strong><\/a>, or Strato.nl<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>

    Pay close attention:<\/strong>\u2026when buying a domain name, don\u2019t automatically purchase the .online version as well. Domain companies often tend to add this to your cart for \u20ac0, and in the 2nde<\/sup> year they\u2019ll send you a bill for anywhere between \u20ac40 and \u20ac70.<\/p>

    For a .com domain I recommend porkbun.com<\/strong><\/a> Here I have all my .com domains and pay around $10 per year for them.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    3. Choosing<\/b> webhosting<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    Arranging good webhosting<\/strong> is very important<\/strong> \u2026for your website. A web host is a provider of a web server where your website is stored and from which it is \u201cserved\u201d on the internet. You can also run email addresses on this server that are linked to your domain, such as \u2018name@yourdomain.nl'.
    <\/strong><\/p>

    Shared webhostin<\/strong>g is the cheapest type of web hosting because your website is placed on a server together with many other websites (often hundreds, sometimes even thousands). Your website can function just fine on shared hosting, but chances are that sooner or later problems will arise with site speed, spam, or technical errors.<\/p>

    VPS webhosting<\/strong> is, on the other hand, more stable and secure because you only share the server with a few other websites.
